Presentation

The system allows you to create views from queries performed in different menus of the system components.

After the results are filtered, it is possible to access the view editor to generate an analysis from the data obtained.

To illustrate, views will be created from querying the workflows registered in SoftExpert Workflow.

Here's how to perform this operation:

Create a vision from a search

Access to the view editor is provided in two different ways within the system:

From the Analyze button

1. Access the menu where you wish to perform the search.

2. Click the SEARCH button to display the records in the list. If necessary, use the search filters to refine the results and locate the desired information more quickly.

3. In the toolbar, click the button .

4. Edit the view to generate the desired analysis.

From the Reports button

1. Access the menu where you wish to perform the search.

2. Click the Search button to display the records in the list. If necessary, use the filters to refine the results and locate the desired information more quickly.

3. Click the Reports button.

4. Select the type of analysis you want to generate.

5. Select the information you want to include in the analysis and click the Generate report button.

6. Edit the view to generate the desired analysis.

Some menus do not allow you to configure the report after selecting the analysis type. In these cases, the view editor will open automatically by the system after selecting the desired analysis model, without the need to click the Generate report button.

The video below demonstrates in practice how to create views from a query performed in SoftExpert Workflow:

Creating views without first filtering the results is not recommended, as this impacts the performance of the analysis. The more restricted the query, the faster and more consistent the analysis will be.

•  The dimension and measurement options available in the editor vary depending on the menu in which the query was performed, as each screen offers different recording and analysis options.

•  The fields available for editing in the data view (columns/rows/axis, measurements, filters, and legend) vary depending on the type of chart selected.

•  If the "Show" option in the menu where the view was created is not checked, the view created from the query will only be available through the third quadrant of the menu Registration > Analysis Panel (AN003) , or if it is associated with a portal.

•  The line limit is used to control how many records will be displayed in the chart. This setting prevents the chart from becoming overloaded with too many items and highlights only the most relevant ones in the analysis.

Conclusion

Done! Now you know how to create views from a query. Check out how to configure the view to be displayed in a portal.
