Configuring Amazon Console Home
Prerequisites
- Access to the Configuration > System (CM006) menu.
- Active AWS account, with Amazon S3 included.
Introduction
SoftExpert Suite allows the users of the Document and PDM components to store electronic files through the Amazon S3 service.
The joint use of the services provided by SoftExpert Suite and Amazon S3 ensures security and improves data storage performance.

Configuring Amazon Console Home
1. Access Amazon Console Home and log in with the admin account credentials.
2. Access the Security, Identity, & Compliance > IAM menu.
3. Add a user or enter a previously registered one. Access the Security credentials tab and click on the Create access key option. At this point, the access key ID and the secret access key will be generated.
4. Once done, access the Storage > S3 menu.
5. Click on the Create bucket option and, on the screen that will open, enter the name of the bucket and the region where it will reside.

Configuring storage in SoftExpert Suite.
In order for attachments and electronic files from SoftExpert Document and SoftExpert PDM to be stored in the Amazon S3 repository, apply the following configurations:
1. Access the Configuration > System (CM006) menu.
2. Select the File storage > Amazon S3 storage tab.
3. Check the Enable option.
4. Fill in the Access key ID and Secret access key fields with the information generated in Amazon Console Home.
5. Fill in the Bucket and Region fields with the data generated in Amazon Console Home.
6. Click on the button.

So that the files related to imports referring to ADINTERFACE or to SoftExpert Capture hot folders can be stored in the Amazon S3 repository, apply the following configurations:
1. Access the Configuration > System (CM006) menu.
2. Select the Data integration file storage tab.
3. Check the Enable option.
4. Fill in the Access key ID and Secret access key fields with the information generated in Amazon Console Home.
5. Fill in the Bucket and Region fields with the data generated in Amazon Console Home.
6. Click on the button.

When this option is enabled, all imports related to ADINTERFACE will use this resource.
