Editing report template files
Prerequisites
- Access to the Configuration > Customize > Report template (CM026) menu.
- Jaspersoft Studio version 6.17.0 or higher installed.
- Configured .jrxml file.
Introduction
After configuring a report template, it is possible to edit the .jrxml file associated with it. This is done in Jaspersoft Studio, a tool designed to simplify report creation with the JasperReports library.
In the file, configurations concerning header, footer, logo, etc., are defined for SoftExpert Suite reports.
Default template files cannot be edited.

Editing a file
1. Access the Configuration > Customization > Report template (CM026) menu.
2. Search for and select the template containing the file you wish to edit and click on the button.
3. Wait for Jaspersoft Studio to load. With this done, the template will be displayed and can be edited as needed.
4. After performing all the necessary configurations, save and close the report file.
Jaspersoft Studio will only open if it is installed on the user's computer.

While the file is being edited, the template record will remain blocked. A blocked report template can be identified by the icon in the B column of the list of records on the main screen.
As soon as the record is closed, the system automatically unblocks it. If you need to unblock the template manually, select its record and click on the More > toolbar button.
