Creating populations for audit tests
Prerequisites
- Access to the File > Audit test > Population (AU036) menu.
- Previously created population template.
Introduction
After the population template is released, it is possible to add all populations that fit into the preset configurations.
See how to perform this operation:
Creating a population
1. Access the File > Audit test > Population (AU036) menu.
2. Select the released population template and click on the button.
3. Access the Population tab.
4. Click on the button.
5. On the screen that will open, enter the ID # of the population.

6. The General tab will have all fields previously created in the Population fields section available for completion.

7. After filling in the fields, click on the button to add more populations, or on the
button to finish the record.
The population fields configured as required must necessarily be filled in; if they are not, the population cannot be saved.
Importing a population
The system allows for creating populations using an Excel spreadsheet. Thus, multiple populations can be added all at once to the template.
Downloading and filling out the import spreadsheet
1. Access the File > Audit test > Population (AU036) menu.
2. Select the released population template and click on the button.
3. Click on the arrow below the Configurations field and select the Import option.
4. Click on the Start option.
5. Locate the First time? section and click on the specified place.

6. Open the AUSPOPULATIONDATA spreadsheet that has been downloaded.
7. The AUSPOPULATIONDATA tab displays the columns that are equivalent to the populations to be imported. The instructions column specifies what each column represents and which ones must necessarily be filled out or not.
8. Fill out the columns, including the population ID # and the data of each one of its fields. Each filled row in the table will correspond to one population.

9. Save the spreadsheet. The populations will be ready for import.
• If the required columns are not filled out, the system will not validate the import.
• If one of the population fields is configured with the Business unit data type, the column that references the data must be filled out with the ID # of the business unit matching exactly the one in the system.
• The extension of the file must be .xls, and the file must keep the same language in which it has been downloaded from the system. For example: if the spreadsheet is downloaded while SoftExpert Suite is in English, but is imported later on with SoftExpert Suite in Portuguese, the system will not validate it.
Importing data
With the spreadsheet duly filled out and saved, follow the steps below:
1. Access the File > Audit test > Population (AU036) menu.
2. Select the released population template and click on the button.
3. Click on the arrow below the Configurations field and select the Import option.
4. Click on the Start option.
5. Click on the specified place in the Send file field. Select the spreadsheet and click on Open.

6. Click on Next.
7. In the Run step, check if the imported data is correct.
8. If there are any errors in the information, click on Previous, correct the spreadsheet, and import it again.
9. If everything is correct, click again on Next and confirm the operation.
10. The View step will display all the imported data. If any issues have occurred, the Error description column will report the error for correction.

11. In case of errors, they must be corrected in the Excel file, which must be imported again.
12. If everything is correct, click on Finish.
Conclusion
All done! The populations will be duly created in the template.
