Adding a copy cancellation link to a watermark

  • Access to the Configuration > Document > Watermark (DC045) menu.

 

Introduction

Among the various resources available for document watermark, it is possible to configure a link that allows for cancelling copies from a document itself. This feature adds an extra control layer to document management. 

In this article, we will show how to add a cancellation link when configuring a watermark in order to ensure greater security and traceability as to copy control.

 

1. Access the Configuration > Document > Watermark (DC045) menu.

2. Locate and select the desired document.

3. Click on to open the watermark configuration data screen.

4. In the General tab, select the Controlled copy status.

5. In the Margin section, enter the values that will delimit, in millimeters, the printing area of the watermark.

6. Click on the sidebar toolbar button.

7. In the Alignment field of the General tab, set the position of the link in relation to the printing area of the electronic file.

8. Check the Text option and define the formatting of the cancellation link in the watermark, such as its font, size, and color.

9. Click on to enable the Text item tab.

10. In the Text item tab, click on the button.

11. In the Type field, select the Protocol data option. 

12. In the Sequence field, define the display order of the item in the watermark.

13. In the Item field, select the Copy cancellation link option.

14. Click on the button on the item data screen, on the item addition screen, and on the general watermark record screen.

This resource is available only for controlled-copy watermarks.
