Configuring a content block type
Feature available exclusively from version 3.0 onwards for customers using the SoftExpert cloud platform.
Prerequisite
- Access to the Configuration > Content block > Content block type (DC065) menu.
Introduction
The content block type is used to organize and categorize content blocks that can be reused in documents created or edited via the SoftExpert Document editor.
Through this configuration, it is possible to structure a library of standardized content, such as contractual clauses, institutional excerpts, or recurring sections, making it easier to manage, locate, and reuse this information in the system's native editor.
Defining block types is an essential step, as every content block must be mandatorily associated with a previously created type.
Configuring a content block type
1. Access the Configuration > Content block > Content block type (DC065) menu.
2. Click on the
button to configure a blank record.
3. Enter an ID # and a name for the content block type.
4. Select a type in the Upper level type field for the type being created to be below it in the hierarchy.
5. Enter the description of the content block type.
6. Click on the
button to save the record and exit.

Conclusion
After configuring the content block type, the system will be ready for the creation of the blocks that will be effectively used in the documents.
As the next step, create the content blocks, associating them with the defined types and providing the texts that can be inserted directly in the native editor of SoftExpert Document.
This structure ensures greater standardization, agility when drafting documents, and better reuse of content in the system.
