The sort operation defines the ordering of the analysis dimensions, controlling the sequence in which the data are displayed.

The user chooses whether the values ​​will be displayed in ascending or descending order. This operation can be applied to numbers, text, or dates.

On a sales portal, a table displays the best-selling products, with columns showing the product name, product category name, quantity, and total net revenue:

If we click on the columns that display the dimension fields, both textual such as Product Name and Product Category Name , and numeric such as Quantity and Sum Net Revenue, we will be applying the sort and reordering how the results will be displayed in the table:

Another way to apply sorting is by using the Sort button, found in the upper right corner of the card. In this case, you need to drag the dimension that will be used to sort the results and choose whether the order will be ascending or descending:
