Defining the portal category

 

Prerequisites

  • “Edit” permission enabled on the Configuration > Access group (CM011) menu.
  • Access to the Portals menu.

 

Introduction

SoftExpert Suite allows for creating categories and classifying portals through them.

Categories are used to organize the display of portals, separating them into defined groups.

Next, see how to create categories and classify portals:

 

Creating categories

1. Access the Portals > See all menu.

2. Click on the button and then select Classify portals.

3. In the panel that will open, click on the Create category button.

4. On the screen that will be displayed, enter the Category title.

5. In the Portals field, select which portals will be classified by the category.

6. Then, click on Save. To create another category next, enable the Create new category field.

 

Classifying portals

1. Access the Portals > See all menu.

2. Click on and select the Classify portals option to manage the categories assigned to the portals.

3. At this point, the categories that have been created will be listed. Each one displays how many portals use it. Select the category and click on the button.

4. On the editing screen, click on Portals.

5. Enable the portals that must be part of the category.

6. To remove a classification, disable the portal.

7. Click on Save to finish the procedure.
