Asset - 3.0.0
Task center
The Task center is an evolution of the old My tasks menu, now with a more modern and efficient proposal.
Previously, the user needed to access different screens in order to execute activities such as revisions, revalidations, etc.
With the new Center, all tasks are gathered in a single optimized environment, which allows for a more fluid and centralized navigation.
This redesign brings about greater convenience to the day-to-day routine, as it allows for viewing, filtering, and executing tasks of different types in a single place.
Find out more about the new features:
For the Asset revision request, Asset acquisition request, Check-in from usage, Check-in from maintenance, Check-in from calibration, Inventory execution, License exceeded, Purchase order validity date, Asset reservation, and Maintenance record tasks, the security rule of the records are now defined on the basis of the responsible teams.
The Asset revision, Asset revision acknowledgment, and Inventory approval tasks will have their security rules defined on the basis of the revision route, of the responsible route, or of the notification group referring to the asset revision.
If the user is not linked to a revision route, the system will check if they are part of the team responsible for the asset in order to show the Asset revision task in the Task center.
The tasks concerning unmapped and prohibited software will have their security rules based on the parameterization teams.
AI chat to add records
Adding records through the Asset > Condition (AS057) and Cost type (AS058) menus has become much easier!
With the new AI chat feature, you just need to write what you want with simple phrases, and the system takes care of filling everything out.
See how this feature works:
- Type what you want in a text field, as if it was a conversation.
- Choose among the suggestions the system will present.
- The system will add the record automatically from the chosen example.
Available only to customers that use the SoftExpert cloud platform.
In order for this resource to work correctly, the AI features permission must be enabled in the Access group (CM011) menu.
New request template processes
SoftExpert Request will continue on in the new version of the system, now with new request template processes.
These processes can be created through the Process (PM063) menu. See the new template process available in SoftExpert Asset below:
- Asset revision request
Although the processes can be created from the process menu, the request tasks must be executed in their corresponding modules.
To learn more about the template processes of the other modules, refer to SoftExpert Request's release notes.
Menu centralization
In version 3.0, the system keeps moving forward when it comes to standardizing data management.
The Team (AS045), Reason (AS062), Checklist (AS046), and Attribute (AS044) menus have been removed from SoftExpert Asset and are now centralized in SoftExpert Administration.
This centralization makes for a simpler and more efficient user experience, allowing data maintenance to be carried out in a single place.
The result is greater consistency among the modules, as well as greater agility for those who manage or use this information in the system.
Deletion of duplicate menus
To simplify navigation and avoid redundancy, menus that were available in more than one place in the system have been removed.
These deletions seek to make the experience more intuitive for users, preventing them from accessing different screens to perform the same operations.
In the new SoftExpert Asset version, the Check-in from maintenance (AS026), Check-in from calibration (AS009), and Check-in from usage (AS025) menus have been deleted to avoid duplicity with the Task center.
Changes in the general parameters
The integration with SoftExpert Document, which used to be configured in the general parameters of SoftExpert Asset, is now located in the Integration tab of the General parameters (MA019) menu in SoftExpert Maintenance.
Additionally, the configurations of the Cost type (AS059) menu are now part of the General parameters (AS063) menu in SoftExpert Asset.
New web service for IT asset import
Published in version 3.0, a new web service allows for importing and updating IT asset records automatically.
This new feature simplifies the integration with external inventory tools, such as IT management systems and discovery solutions, ensuring that the data is always up-to-date in the platform.
The web service supports creation and update operations, and allows for mapping fields such as name, serial number, manufacturer, model, location, responsible party, and more.
General parameters with a new look
The tabs and sections of the General parameters (AS063) menu have been modified to match the system's new visual pattern.
The cleaner and lighter layout is intended to enhance the experience of the SoftExpert Asset users.
