PDM - 3.0.0

In version 3.0, the system keeps moving forward when it comes to standardizing data management.

The following menus have been removed from SoftExpert PDM and are now centralized in the SoftExpert Administration module:

  • Attribute (IT023)
  • Checklist (IT025)
  • Team (IT024)
  • Reason (IT041)
  • Template (IT036)
  • Complex file container (IT038)
  • Characteristic type (IT039)
  • Symbol (IT031)
  • Characteristic (IT004)
  • Document type (IT028)
  • Document (IT003)

This centralization makes for a simpler and more efficient user experience, allowing data maintenance to be carried out in a single place.

The result is greater consistency among the modules, as well as greater agility for those who manage or use this information in the system.

The Document type (IT028) and Document (IT003) menus, transferred to SoftExpert Administration, are now named Information type (AD078) and Information (AD079), respectively.

AI chat to add records

Adding records through the Color (IT034), Odor (IT033), and Hazard (IT035) menus has become much easier!

With the new AI chat feature, you just need to write what you want with simple phrases, and the system takes care of filling everything out.

See how this feature works:

  • Type what you want in a text field, as if it was a conversation.
  • Choose among the suggestions the system will present.
  • The system will add the record automatically from the chosen example.

Available only to customers that use the SoftExpert cloud platform and have SoftExpert Copilot.

In order for this resource to work correctly, the AI features permission must be enabled in the Access group (CM011) menu.

General parameters with a new layout

In version 3.0, the General parameters (IT043) menu has been updated to follow the new visual pattern of the platform, bringing about a more modern and pleasant navigation.

The content that used to be displayed in pop-up windows is now shown directly on the main screen, which provides a more integrated, intuitive, and seamless experience.

With the new layout, the system offers greater convenience and usability, making configuration operations simpler and more efficient.

New template processes in SoftExpert Request

SoftExpert Request will continue on in the new version of the system, now with new request template processes.

These processes can be created through the Process (PM063) menu.

See the new template process available in SoftExpert PDM below:

  • Item revision request

Although the processes can be created from the process menu, the request tasks must be executed in their corresponding module.

To learn more about the template processes of the other modules, refer to SoftExpert Request's release notes.

Task center

The Task center is an evolution of the old My tasks menu, now with a more modern and efficient proposal.

Previously, the user needed to access different screens in order to execute activities such as revisions, revalidations, etc.

With the new Center, all tasks are gathered in a single optimized environment, which allows for a more fluid and centralized navigation.

This redesign brings about greater convenience to the day-to-day routine, as it allows for viewing, filtering, and executing tasks of different types in a single place.

Task transfer in PDM

Previously, when transferring a task between teams, the system would also change the team responsible for the object associated with the PDM. Thus, other tasks related to the same object would be transferred automatically, without the user knowing about it.

In version 3.0, the automatic transfer of item revision request, item revalidation, process revalidation, and item family revalidation tasks has been removed from PDM.

Now, responsibilities between teams can be transferred through the Management > Task transfer > Team (AD039) menu, which ensures greater control and traceability as to reassigned activities.

This update seeks to make the process more transparent by allowing the user to know exactly which tasks are being transferred.
