Configuring an object type

Prerequisite
- Access to the SoftExpert Administration > Configuration > Object type (AD042) menu.
Introduction
To simplify the organization of objects created in the system, object types are used, which allow for establishing a hierarchy among the records.
Although objects are created in different components of the system, object types can only be added through the corresponding menu in SoftExpert Administration.

Configuring an object type
1. Access the SoftExpert Administration > Configuration > Object type (AD042) menu.
2. Click on the 
button.
3. Enter an ID # and a name for the type.
4. If necessary, enter an upper level resource type to create a hierarchy among the records.
5. Click on the 
button to enable the Attribute tab.
6. In the Attribute tab, associate the attributes that will be used to complement object data. See more details on how to associate attributes by clicking here.
7. Click on the 
button.
Conclusion
With a type duly configured, it is possible to create objects in the system.
