Tracking the progress of a task

Prerequisites

  • Planned task.
  • Access to the Management > Task tracking (TC009) menu.

Introduction

The task tracking menu allows for monitoring and managing nonproject tasks at different stages. This resource helps identify deviations between planning and execution.

This menu makes it possible to reschedule dates, edit data, and view information.

For the tracking feature to be used, the planned task must be in the execution step. Optional elements, such as documents and resources, can be associated with the record.

Task tracking optimizes the execution and ensures transparency and control over deadlines.

See below how to track a task:

Tracking a nonproject task

1. Access the Management > Task tracking (TC009) menu.

2. Select a record and click on the button.

3. On the record data screen, it is possible to set the start and end dates of the task in the Rescheduled section.

4. If you wish, click on the Result button and fill in the available fields: "Lesson learned", "Objective achieved", "Benefit achieved", and "Reason for delay".

5. In the Comment tab, it is possible to enter comments about the task.

6. Any events that have occurred regarding the record can be viewed from the History tab.

7. In the Resource section of the Allocation tab, it is possible to assign resources through the side toolbar button.

8. In the Documentation tab, it is possible to attach documents from the directory or associate records from SoftExpert Document. Access the What is the Documentation section? article and learn more.

9. After verifying or editing the data of the nonproject task, click on the Save and exit button.

Conclusion

Tracking allows for making adjustments and monitoring records in real time. This ensures greater control over created tasks.
