Creating a standard activity for third-party calibration

Prerequisites

Introduction

A standard activity is a mandatory record in the process of creating all maintenance, calibration, and verification types. Its main function is to parameterize all activities and plans that will be created from it. The objective of this article is to specify the configurations that the standard activity must have in order to be used in the creation of third-party calibration plans with point-based results.

A third-party calibration with results by table or point is used to calibrate gages outside the organization, with the calibration being controlled by SoftExpert Maintenance, and the measurement values, validated by a third-party certifying body. This way, the user can define which items and which points from the certificate will be used in the system to determine whether their equipment meets the organization's needs.

In this article, as an example, the creation of a standard activity for third-party calibration with point-based results will be illustrated.

Creating a standard activity for third-party calibration

Click here and watch the video to create a standard activity using a standard activity type, an ID #, and a name that are consistent with a calibration. In the video, all the resources of a standard calibration activity will be described.

In the GIF below, the mandatory steps of the video, focused on configuring a third-party calibration with point-based results, will be presented to demonstrate the creation of the standard activity that will be used to develop the example of the third-party calibration flow.

Conclusion

After saving the standard activity record, with the table added, use it to create a calibration plan.
