Adding an objective table

Prerequisites

  • Access to the File > Standard activity (MA049) menu.
  • Standard activity with the Calibration data tab configured.

Introduction

The most common way to characterize and evaluate the performance of measuring gauges is through calibration. Calibrations must be performed regularly and are an imperative condition for asset measurement results to be reliable.

Usually, the system displays a table as the result of each point measured along the measuring range of the gauge, as well as the estimates of the error or correction, and of the associated uncertainties.

Thus, it is possible to evaluate the performance of a measuring gauge by comparing it with the specifications of a standard or of the manufacturer.

Therefore, it is possible to understand the role of tables in the configuration of a calibration in the standard activity. An objective table is used to read measurable characteristics, that is, those containing data that can be measured.

See how to create a calibration table with objective attributes:

Adding an objective table

Watch the video below to learn how to add an objective table and configure the General and Variable tabs:

We are glad you have come this far! Watch the second part to learn how to configure the Other equation, Calibration method, Type B uncertainty, Process, Acceptability criterion, Extra calculation, and Point tabs and how to finish adding the table:

Conclusion

Once we are done adding the table, the last step for configuring the calibration in the standard activity will have been completed.
