Prerequisite

• Access the Settings menu > Area Chart (FM033).

Presentation

The area chart is used in SoftExpert FMEA to visually classify failure causes according to their priority, considering the combination of severity and occurrence criteria.

Through this configuration, the system automatically defines which causes will be treated as high or medium priority, assisting in the rapid identification of the most critical risks and in directing improvement actions.

Configure area chart

1. Access the Settings > Area Chart (FM033 menu.

2. On the screen that appears, select, on the left side, the type of FMEA for which the area chart will be configured.

3. On the right side of the screen, configure the criteria that will define the priority of the failure causes, according to the available sections:

• High priority: specify the severity and occurrence criteria that will classify the failure causes as high priority in the FMEA.
• Medium priority: specify the severity and occurrence criteria that will classify the failure causes as medium priority in the FMEA.

4. Click to complete the area chart setup.
