Creating an application via import
Prerequisites
- Access to the App builder (AB001) menu.
- Previously created application.
Introduction
Applications can be imported from files saved in a local directory through the App builder (AB001) menu.
This resource makes it possible to reuse applications from different databases. First, the applications must be configured and exported in order to be imported into another database.
See how to export and import records:
Exporting an application
1. Access the App builder (AB001) menu.
2. Search for the application you wish to export.
3. Hover the mouse over the application in the list of records and click on the
button.
Access the App builder (AB001) menu.
2. Click on the arrow next to the Create button and select the Add via import option.
3. Drag the file containing the application installation package to the indicated location or click on select to search for the file in the computer.
4. Enable the options if you want to edit the table and the form related to the application, and if the application created via import will be generated with a released revision.
5. Click on the Import button.
6. Once the import is finished, click on the Finish button. At this point, the new application is available and can be edited through the App builder (AB001) menu. To enable it to be used, it is necessary to grant permission through an access group.

If the Edit table and Edit form options are enabled, during the import, a screen will be displayed to allow users to edit the form and table data.

It is not possible to perform the import if the processes or forms associated with the application have a revision in progress.
