The drill-down operation does the opposite of drill-up . It allows you to increase the level of detail by descending the hierarchy of a dimension to analyze information more specifically.

This operation is generally used when the chart has multiple dimensions organized hierarchically.

When applying drill-down to a time dimension, for example, the analysis can go from year to month, from month to day, and so on.
