FMEA - 2.2.4
Relationship between failure modes and requirements improved
In version 2.2.4, the FMEA structure (AIAG & VDA version) receives a new resource to optimize the work flow: now, it is possible to relate requirements directly to a failure mode.
This improvement will enable a more complete view, allowing users to see the interactions involving the Failure mode, Requirement, and Characteristic elements, recorded in the step of a process or in a focus element, which enhances the control and analysis of records.
Before, only characteristics could be associated, although it was possible to link multiple requirements and characteristics in the function analysis step.

Display of characteristics and requirements in the report
As of this version, in addition to the possibility of associating requirements with failure modes, a new way to display information has been introduced in the FMEA report.
With this new option, requirements and characteristics will be shown only in the function analysis column, corresponding to the related modes, without repeating information.
Before, the report would display all mapped requirements and characteristics in the function analysis column, regardless of whether they were associated with the failure mode. The characteristic selected for the mode would also be shown in its corresponding column, causing information to be duplicated.
This change reduces the size of the report, especially when there are multiple requirements and characteristics in the same function analysis.
The relationship among modes, requirements, and characteristics has become simpler to identify as well, as it is presented in a clear and centralized manner, which makes it easier to understand and control the process.

Symbols updated in FMEAs
A new button for validating symbols has also been added to the FMEA structure (AIAG & VDA version).
This feature is designed to facilitate the validation of symbols while the user is developing special-characteristic rules in an FMEA type, or if they have edited them.
When the Validate symbol button is clicked, the symbols associated with the failure mode will be automatically updated in accordance with the new rules defined for the FMEA type, ensuring greater agility and precision in the process.
Measurement unit and Defect menus centralized in SoftExpert Administration
Version 2.2.4 of SoftExpert Suite presents a major change: the Measurement unit and Defect menus have been removed from the FMEA component and are now centralized in SoftExpert Administration.
As a result, management becomes more organized and standardized, facilitating administration and keeping the components consistent.
New main screen for the Action, Reason, and Symbol menus, with a modern design and smart resources
Version 2.2.4 of SoftExpert Suite presents a new main screen: more modern, standardized, and practical.
With optimized filters and a new listing, records are easier to view and manage.
Now, it is possible to create a new item from scratch, import a template, use the "Ask AI" option, or even use a REST API to automate the process.
This screen also allows for exporting data from lists in a format that can be reused in other environments of the system.
Moreover, it is possible to edit records individually, change statuses, or delete multiple items all at once.
All this is meant for streamlining the routine and making management even more efficient.
- The "Ask AI" resource will only be available to customers that have the license for SoftExpert Copilot.
- In the Symbol (FM041) menu, the "Ask AI" option will not be available.
