APQP/PPAP - 2.2.3
3rd edition APQP
SoftExpert APQP has been updated to adapt to 3rd-edition APQP and AIAG control plan reference manuals.
New forms for APQP
We released nine new forms to complement the analysis of APQP phases. To use these forms, import them at least once. They aid in change management verification, APQP risk factors, and supply verification.
Default form import
When importing default forms, it will be possible to access new forms provided by the system. Thus, the organization will use forms that assist in APQP activities.
Forms are imported via the Customized form (AP047) menu, in the “More > Import form” option. Once imported, it will remain available as an activity in the APQP planning screens.
1st edition control plan
The control plan form has received new features to adapt to AIAG control plan reference manuals. See the main features below:
Safe release
From this version onwards, the control plan will contain “Safe release,” a process that involves additional monitoring and control steps during the start of production to correct defects in advance.
Safe release is available only for control plans in the “pre-launch” and “production” phases. Use this feature via the "+ Safe release" button, which will be displayed when editing a characteristic. After clicking on the button, the characteristic will be in the safe release plan.
Characteristics that are part of the safe release plan can be identified through a filter or through the “safe release” marker on the characteristic in the control plan.
Special characteristic spreadsheet
The control plan activity can now print the special characteristic spreadsheet, recommended to document and update characteristics. Use the description field to enter an explanation about the special characteristic.
Responsive customized forms
The integration of SoftExpert Form with SoftExpert APQP through responsive forms is an important new feature in this version. With it, forms from SoftExpert Form can be used as customized forms in APQP.
APQP will also support SoftExpert Form revision control. Activities under execution of an APQP will list the last revision of the form.
However, rest assured! Records that have already been closed will not be updated, and the entered data will remain on display even if the form changes from one revision to the other.
