Enabling a requirement audit

Prerequisites

  • Active SoftExpert Requirement license.
  • Access to the SoftExpert Requirement > Configuration > Requirement type (REQ009) menu.
  • Access to the SoftExpert Requirement > File > Requirement (REQ021) menu.
  • Previously created evaluation criterion.
  • Previously added internal auditor.

Introduction

SoftExpert Audit allows for conducting audits on requirements, which are nothing but norms and laws applied to the company, whether internal or external.

This is possible by means of an integration with SoftExpert Requirement, the component through which all requirements are created in the system.

When creating and editing records in the Requirement component, some configurations are required in order to allow audits to be conducted.

See how to perform these configurations:

Configuring a requirement type

The audit needs to be made available on the data screen of the types that classify the requirements:

1. Access the SoftExpert Requirement > Configuration > Requirement type (REQ009) menu.

2. Select the requirement type you wish to edit and click on the button.

3. In the General tab, enable the Allow audit of requirement field.

4. Click on the button.

Associating an evaluation method with a requirement

If the audit is enabled in the requirement type, the evaluation criterion that will be used in the audit evaluation must be associated.

1. Access the SoftExpert Requirement > File > Requirement (REQ021) menu.

2. Select the requirement you wish to edit and click on the button.

3. Select the Audit criterion tab.

4. Insert the desired criterion in the Audit evaluation criterion field.

5. If necessary, specify the default conformity level. Conformity levels will be displayed only if there are conformity level options recorded on the criterion data screen.

6. Choose whether the value of the requirements and the conformity percentage will be calculated on the basis of:

Immediately lower level objects Objects that are one level below the reference object.
Lowest level requirements Requirements that do not have other sub-requirements below their structure, but may have verification items or audit tests.
Lowest level objects Lowest level objects, that is, any object (requirement, reference item, or audit test) that does not have any structure below.

7. Click on the Save button.

Associating an internal auditor

If the audit is enabled in the requirement type, it is possible to associate the internal auditors who are qualified to apply the audit evaluation to the requirement.

1. Access the SoftExpert Requirement > File > Requirement (REQ021) menu.

2. Select the requirement you wish to edit and click on the button.

3. Click on the arrow below the Audit section and select the Internal auditor option.

4. Click on the button to open the internal auditor selection screen. On the screen that will be displayed, the internal auditors registered in SoftExpert Audit will be available.

5. Select the desired internal auditor and click on the button.

6. Click on the Save button.

Use the side toolbar button to allow the auditor to be designated as lead auditor of the requirement.

Viewing an audit organization

If the audit is enabled in the requirement type, it is possible to view the audit organizations that are qualified to apply the audit evaluation to the requirement.

The association of a requirement with an audit organization is performed exclusively on the organization data screen.

1. Access the SoftExpert Requirement > File > Requirement (REQ021) menu.

2. Select the requirement you wish to edit and click on the button.

3. Click on the arrow below the Audit section and select the Audit organization option.

4. Select the audit organization and click on the button to view its data.

For the requirement to have its data edited, its revision must be enabled.
