Associating an evaluation method with an object

Prerequisites

  • Access to the object data screen.
  • Previously created evaluation method.

Introduction

For an evaluation method to be used in the evaluation of system records, it must be associated with an object first.

Evaluation methods can be associated with action plans, portfolios, processes, suppliers, risks, requirements, etc. The object association menus vary according to the component in which the method has been configured. Usually, evaluation methods are associated with type or category menus.

To illustrate an association, the "Effectiveness of requirement" method will be associated with the "Documentation" requirement type, in order for it to be used in the evaluation of business units during requirement mapping.

Associating an evaluation method with a requirement

1. Access the Configuration > Requirement type (REQ009) menu.

2. Search for and select the requirement type with which the evaluation method will be associated.

3. Click on the button.

4. On the screen that will open, go to the Mapping tab.

5. Click on the button, in the Evaluation section, to search for the created method.

6. After selecting the evaluation method, click on the button.

7. Back to the Requirement type data screen, click on the button.

Conclusion

Thus, an evaluation method has been associated with a requirement type. However, it is important to emphasize that evaluation methods are associated with other objects and in different contexts. Once an evaluation method is associated with an object, it can be used to perform an evaluation.
