Prerequisites
- MSA planned and developed.
- Access the Execution > Data Collection (MS004) menu or the My Tasks menu .
Presentation
The data collection phase is the moment when the values obtained from measurements performed with the instrument defined in the MSA are recorded in the system.
In SoftExpert MSA, data collection can be performed directly through the Execution > Data Collection menu (where records eligible for collection are listed) or through the MSA Collection task, when the process is conducted via tasks.
Collect data
1. Access the Execution > Data Collection (MS004) menu .
2. Select the desired record and click the button
.
3. On the screen that will open, fill in the date and time of collection, as well as the testing location.
4. In the Environmental Conditions section , provide the following information:
- Temperature : average ambient temperature at the time of collection.
- Pressure : average ambient pressure at the time of collection.
- Relative humidity : average relative humidity of the air at the time of collection.
5. Fill in the sampling spreadsheet with the sample readings in the available fields. You can use the buttons
in
the side toolbar to transfer data from the sampling spreadsheet to an Excel spreadsheet, or vice versa.
6. After filling in the data, click the button
to save the changes.
7. At this point, the system will ask if you wish to send the record to the next stage. Confirm the request to send the record to the next stage. If the approval roadmap was defined during MSA planning, the study will proceed to the MSA approval stage . Otherwise, the MSA will be finalized.

Conclusion
Upon completion of data collection, SoftExpert MSA keeps a record of the measured values, environmental conditions, and test information, allowing the process to advance according to the configured workflow (with or without an approval step).
