Adding a subjective table

Prerequisites

Introduction

The most common way to evaluate the performance of measuring gauges is through calibration. Calibrations must be performed regularly and are an imperative condition for asset measurement results to be reliable.

Usually, the system displays a table as the result of each point measured along the measuring range of the gauge, as well as the estimates of the error or correction, and of the associated uncertainties.

Thus, it is possible to evaluate the performance of the measuring gauge by comparing it with the specifications of a standard or of the manufacturer.

Therefore, it is possible to understand the role of tables in the configuration of a calibration in the standard activity. A subjective table allows for identifying the non-measurable characteristics of an asset, described by names (qualities), that is, those that cannot be measured with numeric values.

See how to create a calibration table with subjective attributes:

Adding a subjective table

1. Access the File > Standard activity (MA049) menu.

2. Select the standard activity with configured calibration data and click on .

3. Click on the Calibration > Table option from the top toolbar.

4. In the Table tab, expand the button and click on the Subjective option.

5. On the screen that will open, the Run field with be completed with the creation order of the table. Change it, if you wish.

6. In the Calibration table field, enter a name for the calibration table.

7. Check the Display table on report option so that the table is shown on the reports of the calibration.

8. In the Comments tab, write general notes about the calibration table.

9. Click on the button to save the record.

Conclusion

Once we are done adding the table, the last step for configuring the calibration in the standard activity will have been completed.
