Introduction
SoftExpert Configuration provides a menu in which it is possible to create and configure all the templates that can be associated with reports.
Report templates aim to establish a default page layout configuration for all reports in SoftExpert Suite.
By default, there are four duly configured templates.
See how to create a report template in the system:
Configuring a report template
1. Access the Configuration > Customization > Report template (CM026) menu.
2. Click on the button.
3. Enter an ID # and a title for the template.
4. Define whether the page orientation of the reports with which this template will be associated will be portrait or landscape.
5. Select the page format of the reports with which this template will be associated. Choose between the A4 and Letter options.
6. Select the .jrxml file whose configurations will be applied to the reports with which this template will be associated.
7. Click on the button.

• When the template file is opened for editing in Jasper Studio, the template will remain blocked for editing in the list of records. To unblock it, select it, click on the More toolbar option, and click on the button.
• The Associated report tab displays the reports to which the template is applied. Use the button to associate a report to which you wish to apply the template, and use the
button to disassociate the report selected in the list of records.
