Prerequisites

• Access to the RD/CN Plan menu (RI425).
• RD/CN plan previously created and with test configured.

Introduction

In SoftExpert Risk, it is possible to run tests for disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Tests can only be performed when the RD/CN plan is approved or has a current revision.

This article will show you how to run a RD/CN test.

Execute RD/CN test

1. Access the RD/CN Plan menu (RI425).

2. Search for the plan on which you want to run the test.

3. Click the button .

4. The screen with the test data will be displayed, as well as a summary of the test cases.

5. Click Start test.

6. The screen for running the test will be displayed. Click the Passed button to approve the test case or click the Failed button to reject it. If it was not possible to test, click Blocked.

7. If necessary, evidence can be included in the plan's testing.

8. After evaluating a test case, click the Next button to advance to the next test case to be evaluated.

9. After evaluating all test cases, click Finish. The test case summary will be displayed on the test plan screen, showing the results of the evaluations for each case.

10. Click Finish again to complete the execution of the plan test.

The RD/CN test allows for the validation of the effectiveness of recovery and continuity strategies, ensuring that the procedures defined in the plan can be executed as intended and that the teams are prepared to respond to real incidents.
