Configuring meter setting values
Prerequisite
- Access to the Configuration > Meter setting value (MA018) menu.
Introduction
The Meter setting value (MA018) menu allows for adding and managing the values that represent a certain quantity accounting for the use of an asset. This resource is essential for monitoring and evaluating asset performance and efficiency, as it provides a detailed view of asset usage.
Examples of meter setting values:
Production:
- Parts produced
Operating time:
- Hours worked
Distance covered:
- Kilometers driven
Practical example
When registering new equipment in the system, you can associate the appropriate meter setting values to monitor its performance. For example, when registering a production machine, you can use "Parts produced" as meter setting value. For a vehicle, you can use "Kilometers driven", and, for a machine operated for hours, "Hours worked".
Configuring meter setting values
1. Access the Configuration > Meter setting value (MA018) menu.
2. Click on the toolbar button.
3. On the screen that will open, enter an ID # and a name for the meter setting value.
4. Click on the button to save the record.

Conclusion
Once saved, the record can be associated with an asset in the Meter setting value field of the Control > Characteristics > Meters tab. This way, when maintenance is performed with meter and variable reading on the asset, the meter setting value will be visible on the meter.
