Prerequisites

• Access the menu Registration > FMEA Family (FM042).
• FMEA type configured in AIAG & VDA version.

Presentation

The FMEA family aims to group studies that share common characteristics, providing greater control and standardization of analyses.

When the FMEA type is configured in the AIAG & VDA version, the family registration is done through a wizard, which guides the filling in of information in a structured way, aligned with the methodology guidelines.

Register AIAG & VDA FMEA family

1. Access the menu Registration > FMEA Family (FM042).

2. Click the button and select an FMEA type configured as AIAG & VDA.

3. In the FMEA Type step, confirm the selected type and click Next.

4. In the Attributes step, fill in the required attributes, if any, and click Next.

5. In the General Data section, provide the following information:

• FMEA number, which can be generated automatically according to the template.
• Start date.
• Team responsible.
• The specific fields depend on the FMEA object (Project, Process, Asset, Schedule, or Object).

6. Configure the top element by choosing between:

• Current.
• SE Suite, selecting an existing item or process.
• External, by manually entering the name.

7. Specify the functions and requirements of the parent element (plant, submission, end user, and requirement).

8. Click Finish to complete the registration.

9. Save the record. If the type has revision control, the system will ask if you want to start a new revision.
