Prerequisites

• Access to the View > FMEA revision (FM015), Management > FMEA revision (FM013), or Management > FMEA (FM012) menu.
• FMEA registered with revision control enabled in the FMEA type.
• Have two or more revisions registered for the same FMEA.
• Permission to view FMEA revisions.

Presentation

The revision comparison resource allows you to analyze differences between versions of the same FMEA, making it possible to track its evolution and ensure the traceability of the changes.

The comparison can be performed through the following menus:

• View > FMEA revision (FM015)
• Management > FMEA revision (FM013)
• Management > FMEA (FM012)

The procedure is similar in all cases. In this article, the step by step through the view menu will be presented.

During the comparison, the system highlights changes in general data, structure, actions, and indices, facilitating analyses, validations, and audits.

Compare FMEA revisions

1. Access the View > FMEA revision (FM015) menu.

2. Search for the FMEA whose revisions you wish to compare and select it.

3. Click the More option in the toolbar and select Compare revisions.

4. On the comparison screen, select the FMEA in the Compare with field.

5. Choose which version you wish to compare in the Revision field.

6. The system highlights changes made between one revision and another, facilitating the identification of the changes.

7. Analyze the information presented to verify the evolution of the FMEA and validate the modifications made. During the comparison, the system may present differences related to:

• FMEA general data, such as identifier, description, and attributes.
• FMEA structure, including failure modes, effects, causes, controls, and actions.
• Risk indices (Severity, Occurrence, Detection, NPR, or Action Priority).
• Registered actions, including changes to responsible parties, deadlines, or status.
