This content was generated by artificial intelligence. To request a review, please email documentacao_se@softexpert.com.

Prerequisites

  • Access the menu Consultation > FMEA Review (FM015).
  • FMEA registered with revision control enabled for the FMEA type.
  • Having two or more recorded revisions for the same FMEA.
  • Permission to view FMEA revisions.

Presentation

Comparing revisions allows you to analyze the differences between two revisions of the same FMEA. This feature is essential for tracking the evolution of the analysis, identifying changes made over time, and ensuring traceability of decisions made during the revision process.

When comparing revisions, the system highlights changes in general data, FMEA structure, and information related to actions and indicators, facilitating audits, validations, and historical analyses.

Compare FMEA revisions

1. Access the menu Consultation > FMEA Review (FM015).

2. Use the search filters to locate the FMEA whose revisions you wish to compare.

3. Select the FMEA you wish to compare.

4. Click the More option in the toolbar, and then click the Compare revisions button.

5. On the comparison screen, select the FMEA you want to compare in the Compare with field.

6. Choose which version you want to compare in the Revision field.

7. The system highlights changes made between revisions, making it easier to identify those changes.

8. Analyze the information presented to verify the progress of the FMEA and validate the modifications made.

During the comparison, the system may exhibit differences related to:

  • General FMEA data, such as identifier, description, and attributes.
  • FMEA structure, including failure modes, effects, causes, controls, and actions.
  • Risk indices (Severity, Occurrence, Detection, NPR or Action Priority).
  • Registered actions, including changes to responsible parties, deadlines, or status.
  • The "Compare revisions" button will only be enabled if the selected FMEA is certified.
  • Only revisions of the same FMEA can be compared.
  • The comparison is for informational purposes only and does not allow direct changes to be made on the comparison screen.

Conclusion

Comparing FMEA revisions is a fundamental tool for ensuring transparency, traceability, and control of analyses over time.

By highlighting the differences between versions, SoftExpert FMEA facilitates the validation of changes, supports audits, and contributes to safer and more consistent management of identified risks.
